Zion Gran Fondo

After last week's ride it was time to find some HEAT! A few of the PCRs headed south to ride in the 1st inaugural Zion Gran Fondo. WOW, what a spectacular ride. Mary, thanks for the COKE rescue in our 77 mile ride. Dr. J., I'm glad our break through therapy of trail-riding as helped you conquer your fears.

The key to a long ride is eating with friends the night before and putting together a goodies bag with all the necessary tools, pens, candy and DRUGS... :-)

Riding with Bruce is so motivational. He rides ahead of you and paints signs on the summit. He's a Billy Goat....

Some riders are TALL in the saddle, but need a little help when taking pictures with the PCR Giants

10th Annual Bandit/Deadhead Marathon Ride

This morning's early 6am ride was not for the faint-of-heart. We started with a slight drizzle and ended with all of us being wet to the bone. Mr. Hale was back to his old form of wanting to race and lead the pack. We're not quite sure, but as you will see from the picture below we think one of Liberty Park's garbage men joined the PCRs this morning and came by just in time to get in the group shot.

If you DON'T plan where you're going, you might end up at the DUMP

This morning's ride was a TRUE adventure. I encouraged our BANKERS to leave earlier than 8:30am, but was unsuccessful. The A Team had just finished their ride and were still yawning, where I'm gasping for air when I'm done. Mr. Scott Lloyd had planned a flat ride to Farmington, but we had a little detour due to a local run/ride race.

As you will see, we went places we have never been before and saw faces we have never seen before. We ran into Hugh Jackman who is planning on being a regular with the PCRs, and for you frequent blog visitors, we again have a couple of mystery locations.... GOOD LUCK finding these....

Name this Building?

Dimple Dell Loop - Backwards

Saturday's ride was one that reminded me that you sure get OUT OF SHAPE a lot quicker than you GET IN SHAPE. We attempted to get an earlier start, but as you will see the biking gods wanted to see if we still remember how to change a flat tire..... :-)

The dimple dell loop - backwards has a lot of hills and our senior rider, Craig Bruner, reminded us that OLD GUYS RULE.....

How many PCRs does it take to change a flat tire?

TATS for the day.... from Queenstown

Helmets are KEY when riding a bike, BUT do they have to be SOOOO LOUD??
