As you will see, today a few of us took off at 5:30am to ride 100 miles. In the end, only 3 went the whole 100 miles after going around Sugar House Park 3 times because we were short 5 miles when we got home. What a GREAT day, with GREAT friends!
1st Summit of the day, Little Mtn!
Note the Loch Ness Monster
2nd Summit of the day, Big Mtn!
Who's Dumb idea was it to ride 100 miles..... MAN, I'M TIRED!
Saturday's ride was a new route for the 3 of us and boy was it beautiful. We thought we might run into to a little rain, but all we ran into was GREAT travel stories by Hale, Spiritual thoughts by Bro. Briggs and YES, new sites and characters by Woody. (He had to stop drivers only once to make sure we were going in the right direction)
This morning's 57.8 mile ride was not only for physical exercise, but educational. We took a minute to visit the old site of Portor Rockwell's saloon and then our fearless leader, for the day, took us on a new path, both asphalt and dirt. However, "all great journeys have secret destinations of which the traveler is unaware."
I'm out of town next week and pass the baton to Bro. Briggs.
KEEP THE RUBBER SIDE DOWN!
Dr. J is BACK, YES!~
"Man, these old guys are FAST!"
"OOPS, I thought this was the right road to Utah Lake???"
How many of you can come home from work and be in the mountains in less than 30 minutes??? WE CAN! There is nothing better than an after-work-ride up Emigration Canyon.
It's time for a little stretch and some nourishment
