Memorial Day Century - Big Mtn > East Canyon > Morgan > Home

As you will see, today a few of us took off at 5:30am to ride 100 miles. In the end, only 3 went the whole 100 miles after going around Sugar House Park 3 times because we were short 5 miles when we got home. What a GREAT day, with GREAT friends!

1st Summit of the day, Little Mtn!

 Note the Loch Ness Monster

2nd Summit of the day, Big Mtn!

Who's Dumb idea was it to ride 100 miles..... MAN, I'M TIRED!

Rockwell / Suncrest Loop - 60 miles

Saturday's ride was a new route for the 3 of us and boy was it beautiful. We thought we might run into to a little  rain, but all we ran into was GREAT travel stories by Hale, Spiritual thoughts by Bro. Briggs and YES, new sites and characters by Woody. (He had to stop drivers only once to make sure we were going in the right direction)

Howdy Partner!

Rockwell's Saloon, Utah Lake (kinda), Jordan River Parkway & Back!

This morning's 57.8 mile ride was not only for physical exercise, but educational. We took a minute to visit the old site of Portor Rockwell's saloon and then our fearless leader, for the day, took us on a new path, both asphalt and dirt. However, "all great journeys have secret destinations of which the traveler is unaware."

I'm out of town next week and pass the baton to Bro. Briggs.

KEEP THE RUBBER SIDE DOWN!

Dr. J is BACK, YES!~

"Man, these old guys are FAST!"

"OOPS, I thought this was the right road to Utah Lake???"

This Is Why We LIVE in Utah!!

How many of you can come home from work and be in the mountains in less than 30 minutes??? WE CAN! There is nothing better than an after-work-ride up Emigration Canyon.

It's time for a little stretch and some nourishment

I'M KING OF THE WORLD!

Birthday Boy's Ride To Farmington

Today's 6:30am start was a little chilly, 34 degrees..... and as you will see, some of us are tougher than others when it comes to cool temperatures. However, after a quick pace the blood was circulating and the HOT AIR was in abundance.

A quick stop to SMELL THE ROSES!

The Rocket Heads are LOOKING GOOD!

 "What's this for?"

Some of us are trying to lose it the old fashion way..... The Holidays are KILLERS.
Has anyone seen Mr. Hawke?

"I still have a couple of bugs to work out.... Answering the phone is a PROBLEM"... :-)

BEST BIRTHDAY PRESENT EVER!

Temple Quarry - Office of James Livingston

Today's ride was not only a physical test, but educational. We went to the office of James Livingston, an early pioneer who superintended the temple quarry until the Salt Lake City, LDS temple was built. (40 years in the making) You never know what you are going to learn when you ride with the Parleys Canyon Riders...

Look close and you can see where they drilled holes to break the granite rock
